The Tower – Shattered Foundations
The Tower symbolises an unexpected or catastrophic event which sets a person free of the constraints and bindings which have plagued their life.
Situations and circumstances not founded on solid ground are swept away and expunged in a dramatic fashion.
Although the Tower brings mayhem and destruction, it clears people and circumstances from the person’s life which are untenable, illusory and not meant to last. It paves the way for better times, and to rebuild life on foundations that are firm and true.
The person is forced to carve a new path and identity for themselves because of the transition that has been foisted upon them. This will ultimately help them to progress in life and reach where they are meant to be.
This is Mars energy which rules passion, anger, violence, fighting spirit and blood. Emotions run high and a considerable degree of tumult occurs. It indicates loss of position and the unforeseen end of an era, established norm and hierarchy.
The Tower can be compared to going through the eye of the needle, an unloading of attachments, ego and that which no longer serves. It is freeing the Infinite Being within to show you the vast expanse of the universe. Your True Self remains free, free to be exactly what you want to be, what you came here to be.
The Tower represents all the walls you have learned to surround yourself with. They were built to protect, out of fear, and they limit your access to the unbounded possibilities that truly exist. Each brick has been laid down, carried around, reminds you of the past, of the burdens you bear, of the attachments you think you hold dear.
It is through this tearing down, through this chaos, that you are able to see clearly, to trust fully, and to remember that with all destruction there comes new creation. It is time to grow, to expand, and to play big.
